The partnership with the Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG) was formally signed in February 2024 and within the first week, a number of interceptions and arrests were made including the arrest of a house robbery gang wanted in multiple thefts across the province. The GPG has committed to working with VumaCam to not only increase the coverage of cameras across the province but to focus on the TISH (Townships, Informal Settlements and Hostels) Areas to expand safety and security for ALL communities.

The City of
Joburg
In July 2023, Vumacam’s Proof Platform went live in the City of Joburg’s Integrated Intelligence Operations Centre (IIOC). Through the platform, the Johannesburg Metro Police (JMPD) has effected many arrests, Emergency Management Services (EMS) has been alerted to a number of emergency situations preventing further distruction of property and in some instances, fatalities, and Pikitup has intercepted many by-law infrigments such as illegal dumping.
